Miscanthus varieties thrive in moist to average soil and in full sun. Narrow leaved cultivars can tolerate drought better than wider blades. These grasses like long hot summers and may not bloom in fall in these conditions are not met. They add great winter interest but should be cut down early spring to make way for new growth.

This grass has a narrow, arching leaves and free flowering habit. A dwarf version of 'Gracillimus'. Dark green blades have a showy autumn colouring.
