Asclepias 'Hello Yellow'

Important source of food for Monarch butterflies. Stunning clumps of bright yellow star like flowers stand tall above the lush upright green foliage. Flowering begins mid summer continuously blooming to late summer, once blooms are spent green seed pods emerge which open to release seeds with silvery-white silky smooth feeling. This species is commonly referred to as milkweed. Excellent choice for cut flowers. Among butterflies being attracted to this beauty, bees and other beneficial insect and also hummingbirds enjoy this flower.

This is a late flower to emerge from the garden in the spring.
