Miscanthus varieties thrive in moist to average soil and in full sun. Narrow leaved cultivars can tolerate drought better than wider blades. These grasses like long hot summers and may not bloom in fall in these conditions are not met. They add great winter interest but should be cut down early spring to make way for new growth.

Bright green leaf blades with yellow bands going up the grass, Similar to the Zebra Grass but has a more upright and ridgid habit. Has coppery plumes and is an excellent accent plant in the landscape.
